Grand Cayman Fishing Report for December 6, 2023 Grand Cayman Fishing Report. Fishing has improved this week for those who worked around the windy weather or suffered through it. Grand Cayman’s Twelve Mile Bank was the best spot, with many fish caught from Sunday to Wednesday.   On Sunday, the Anglers from West Bay held their West Bay Shoot-Out.  Several good-sized Wahoo and Tuna were caught. Clayton (aka King Kong) from Grand Time Water Sports along with Primo from Primos Cerviche and Seafood were the winners!  Congratulations! Grand Cayman Fishing Report for November 25, 2023 A good weekend for fishing! Finally, the wind and seas have settled down, allowing more boats to do some Grand Cayman fishing.  Good weather was good news for participants in The Cayman Islands Angling Club’s annual “Driff N Dragg Shootout 2023” fishing tournament for wahoo and yellowfin tuna on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to favorable weather, Sunday was the full moon. Twenty-two boats and seventy-six anglers participated. Top prizes for the heaviest yellowfin tuna and heaviest wahoo was $$4500.  Anglers registered many catches from Twelve Mile Bank, South Sound, and Grand Cayman East End. Grand Cayman Fishing Report for March 26, 2023 Fishing was good in Grand Cayman during the period of March 20-26, 2023. Many anglers reported catching fish close to the island and at Grand Cayman’s 12-Mile Bank. Pelagic species were abundant, including wahoo, yellowfin tuna, barracuda, blackfin tuna, and dolphin (Mahi-Mahi). There have been numerous reports of large, fast-moving schools of biggish yellowfin tuna breaking the surface close to shore at the typical spots, East End, Northwest Point, and South Sound.  Although abundant, the fish have been challenging to hook up. The preferred method of Chunking and drifting was unproductive.  Frustrated anglers are thinking live bait may produce better results. One of
