Grand Cayman Fishing Report

Grand Cayman Yellowfin Tuna

Grand Cayman Fishing Report for December 6, 2023

Grand Cayman Fishing Report. Fishing has improved this week for those who worked around the windy weather or suffered through it. Grand Cayman’s Twelve Mile Bank was the best spot, with many fish caught from Sunday to Wednesday.   On Sunday, the Anglers from West Bay held their West Bay Shoot-Out.  Several good-sized Wahoo and Tuna were caught. Clayton (aka King Kong) from Grand Time Water Sports along with Primo from Primos Cerviche and Seafood were the winners!  Congratulations!

On Monday, one boat reported boating 11 Yellowfin Tuna, with other boats having substantial catches.  Although some Wahoo were caught, they were harder to come by.

Today, Roshad and Captain Andy from Islandlife Watersports.com headed to Twelve-Mile Bank before sunrise and returned with 6 Yellowfin Tuna. The heaviest was about 60 lbs!

Grand Cayman Fishing Report for the rest of this week: Unfortunately, the weather forecast through Sunday looks windy with rough seas. The best bet for fishing around Grand Cayman through the weekend would be a Reef Fishing trip. Deep-sea fishing is not a great option.

Starting Monday, December 11, 2023, the wind and the seas calm down. This should make for some excellent fishing. Book your Grand Cayman fishing trip with one of our excellent Charters.

Remember, it is open season for both Grand Cayman Conch and Grand Cayman Lobster. Plan to add some time to your Deep-Sea or Reef Fishing trip to stop for conch or lobster.
