Grand Cayman Fishing Report for Sunday, February 22, 2023 Grand Cayman Fishing – The last week or so has been windy, and the waves have made it difficult to deep-sea fish.  Reef Fishing has been a better choice. Give tarpon fishing a try. Many nice size tarpon can be hooked in the canals and harbours around Grand Cayman. Although tarpon is not good to eat because of the many small bones in the flesh and poor flavor, they put up a heck of a fight! Once hooked, they jump, shake, dive, just about anything to get off. Grand Cayman Fishing Report for Sunday, February 5, 2023. WAHOO! Grand Cayman Fishing – The winds and seas have settled and the fishing  around the full moon has produced some nice catches. This week there have been many reports of good size yellowfin tuna and wahoo being caught. The Cayman Islands Angling Club held its annual Hoos Who wahoo tournament with fishing Saturday and Sunday.  Fourteen qualified wahoos were caught between the 44 registered teams and 157 registered anglers. As a Result Day 1 fish ranged between 20.4 lbs and 42.2 lbs, with seven wahoos over 30 lbs.  Reports from Cayman Brac included numerous wahoo, mostly smaller sizes. Tuna Time! Grand Cayman Fishing –  Report for Monday, January 24, 2023.  Ben, visiting from Toronto, joined  Captain Andrew from Y-Knot Charters aboard Knotty for a 6- hour deep-sea fishing charter. They headed out to Grand Cayman‘ Twelve-Mile Bank. It was a beautiful day for the ride to the Bank.  The morning’s fishing started slowly. After some passes trolling around the Bank, Captain Andrew set a drift to chunk for yellowfin tuna.  After a short time, the action started. First, a triggerfish. Then the real action started.
