Fishing Report for Feb. 13, 2022 – Ugh!

Grand Cayman Fishing Report for Feb. 13, 2022 The morning started out nice with calm seas light SE winds and some scattered clouds as forecasted.    Soluna forecast was 90% for mid-morning.   A pretty good setup for a run to Grand Cayman’s 12-Mile Bank. At least that’s what we thought. We arrive at the top of 12-Mile Bank at 6:45. Our crew Roshad, Jose, Josh, and I were aboard Captain Gus’ 32’ Intrepid “KNOT SORRY” with twin 300 Yamahas and Garmin’s latest equipment. Nice boat! First thing, Roshad taught us how to check the current. It was coming out of the south. We planned to troll for a bit then drift for yellowfin.   By 7:45 am things changed quickly.  The winds picked up, as did the waves, and the rains

Cayman Islands Fishing Report for Feb. 10, 2022 Morning Spirt has a big haul! Captain Omar of Morning Spirit Charters went offshore to 60 Mile Bank and the bite was on!  Omar, Stephen, and Murcuz landed 37 wahoos, 12 yellowfin tuna, and 1 mahi-mahi.! The fish ranged from 15-lbs to 60lbs. Total Catch was over 900 lbs.! Grand Cayman Islands and  Charters, where every moment promises excitement and the chance to create memories that will be treasured for a lifetime. Grand Cayman Fishing Report for February 9, 2022 Lots of wahoo being caught around Grand Cayman Island Captian Nigel Ebanks of Big Reef Charters started the morning off right with a nice wahoo caught while trolling around 12 Mile Bank. The weather was good, with a few showers and 2-foot seas. Fishing in Grand Cayman is not just an adventure. Grand Cayman Fishing Report for February 8, 2022 Captain Andrew Schirn of Y-Knot Charters display 2 good size wahoo they caught during the evening bite – 4-5 pm. They were trolling wireline off the East End of Grand Cayman.  They were using ballyhoo on Islanders. They reported calm seas with a slight chop. We had a few other reports of wahoo caught off the East End yesterday.  Seem likes it is hot
