Big game pelagic species like wahoo, yellowfin tuna, mahi-mahi, barracuda, marlin, and swordfish live and feed in these easily accessible areas. The nearby reefs are home to snapper, jacks, tarpon, turbot, and various other reef species.
Nearby shallow “banks” rise from the depths and offer very productive fishing areas. One such bank is 12-Mile Bank – an easily reachable fishing location that is just 12 miles off Georgetown Harbour (as its name suggests). Other nearby banks include 60-Mile bank and Pickle Bank.
