Captain Omar Morning Spirit Charters

Grand Cayman Fishing Report

Grand Cayman Fishing Report for December 12, 2022.

Captain Omar from Morning Spirt Charters headed to the East End in his 34′ Crusader and filled the fish box! On Sunday, he was fishing in a local tournament that included 10 boats and some of the most experienced anglers from West Bay. This tournament is for local bragging rights. Captain Omar loves and lives to fish. He knows the local water and techniques as well as anyone.  His motto for Morning Spirit Charters is “WE FISH HARD!”  Congratulations to Captain Omar, his 2 sons Teyon and Teron, and his mate Erold!

The winds began to calm on Sunday, but the seas were still rough. That didn’t stop him from heading to the East End, where the fishing has been good for a few weeks.  Omar has been on fire since the fall when he placed in the Jamacia Marlin Tournament, The Cayman Islands Anglers Club Drag and Driff Tournament, and now the local bragging rights in West Bay.

Grand Cayman Fishing Report
Great Day On Reel Vibes Charters

The Christmas winds are subsiding, the seas have settled, and the weather for fishing is looking good!  The island’s East End has produced some nice Wahoo, Mahi, and Yellowfin Tuna over the last month.  A few reports of medium size wahoo caught off of Northwest Point. That’s good news, as a 4-hour half-day charter allows plenty of time to troll those waters
