Grand Cayman Fishing – The winds and seas have settled and the fishing around the full moon has produced some nice catches. This week there have been many reports of good size yellowfin tuna and wahoo being caught.
The Cayman Islands Angling Club held its annual Hoos Who wahoo tournament with fishing Saturday and Sunday. Fourteen qualified wahoos were caught between the 44 registered teams and 157 registered anglers. As a Result Day 1 fish ranged between 20.4 lbs and 42.2 lbs, with seven wahoos over 30 lbs. Reports from Cayman Brac included numerous wahoo, mostly smaller sizes. Here are the results
Although the tournament was for wahoo only, a few anglers reported nice size yellowfin tuna catches at Grand Cayman Twelve-Mile Bank.
