Most Fishing Charters operate out of the Cayman Islands Yacht Club in Governor’s Harbour. For Folks staying at the East End, the trip can be over an hour by car. For East End guests, our excellent fishing charters now offer pick-up and drop-off at the Kaibo Beach Restaurant dock, making your charter experience seamless.
Grand Cayman East End visitors experience a different side of Grand Cayman. The “East End” is both a town and one of the five districts that make up the island. Quieter and less developed than West Bay, George Town, and the Seven Mile Beach corridor, the East End is a great place to enjoy Grand Cayman. For many visitors and residents, the East End is their favorite part of the island. The popular East End resorts include The Morritt’s Resort, The Wyndham Reef Resort, The Rum Point Club, Compass Point Dive Resort, and Kaibo Yacht Club. These resorts offer great amenities and a relaxing retreat from a fast-paced life.
If you’re staying at the East End of Grand Cayman and want to book a fishing charter, Fishcaymanislands can help. The drive from the East End to Cayman Islands Yacht Club is about 30 miles (47 kilometers) and takes about an hour. A taxi fare is about $150! All of our charter boats make pick-ups and drop-offs from the docks at Kaibo Beach Restaurant. For most charters, there is a $75-100 charge. The charge compensates the charter boat for the fuel and extra time needed to pick up guests on the other end of North Sound. An added benefit to drop-off at Kaibo is that it is a terrific spot to enjoy food, drinks, good cheer, and to tell your fishing stories.
Booking a Kaibo pick-up is easy. After choosing your charter boat, date and time, select the pick-up location. The choices are Cayman Islands Yacht Club or Kaibo. Simple as that!
