All of our Grand Cayman fishing charters will add a stop to swim with the stingrays at Stingray City Sandbar or stop at the Coral Gardens for snorkeling. There are a few different ways to combine these incredible experiences. Here are a few of the most common choices.

Full-Day Deep Sea Fishing Trip
This 4-hour trip is just enough time to fish on the shallow reefs around Grand Caymans North Sound and have time for one stop. Your charter will get to the reef fishing spots in about 15-20 minutes and have lines in the water shortly after that. It is much easier to catch fish at the reef. If you are wondering, reef fishing is done on the outside (ocean side of the reef-Stingray City Sandbar and The Coral Gardens are inside the reef in Grand Cayman’s North Sound. These areas are protected marine parks. No Fishing is allowed.
The stop can either be at Stingray City Sandbar to swim with the Stingrays OR at the Coral Gardens to snorkel at this beautiful shallow site. Both are excellent choices. Your charter will have everything you need for snorkeling stops: masks, fins, and snorkels. All Cayman Islands charters must sanitize their snorkeling equipment according to strict covid guidelines set out by the Cayman Islands Government.
A 5-hour Reef Fishing and Snorkel Combination trip is better if you have a group of 6 or more. 5-hours allows time for your group to fish, snorkel and swim with the stingrays. A 5-hour trip is an excellent choice for smaller groups that want a little more time to spend on each experience.
If you want deep-sea fish and make a stop to swim with the stingrays at Stingray City Sandbar or stop at the coral gardens for snorkeling, you will need more than a ½ day (4 -hour) trip.
Unlike reef fishing, deep-sea fishing takes place offshore and requires the boat to troll for long periods. 4-Hour trips are the minimum amount of time to enable you and your group to have a good chance to catch a large game fish. For this reason, you will need more time on the water.
Most charters will allow your group to add an extra hour to your 4-hour (½ Hour) deep-sea fishing trip. An additional This will allow for 4 hours of fishing and then stops at Stingray City Sandbar to swim with the Stingrays or at the Coral Gardens to snorkel at this beautiful shallow site. Both, if time allows.
Some charters offer 5- and 6-Hour Deep-Sea Fishing trips. These trips will allow you enough time to fish and make stops at Grand Caymans North Sound for fun at Stingray City Sandbar or the Coral Gardens to snorkel.
A full-day deep-sea fishing trip is 8 hours from dock to dock. This allows plenty of time to fish and make stops to Grand Caymans North Sound for stops at Stingray City Sandbar or at the Coral Gardens to snorkel. Be sure to discuss this (or add it as a comment to your reservation). This will ensure that the charter has plenty of sanitized gear for your group. With advanced notice, the captain will plan his fishing route to get you and your group back to North Sound to swim and snorkel.
