He started fishing with his father, brother, uncles, and cousins at a very young age. He began in the watersports business at just 12 years old during school breaks. He became a captain at age 19. He ran fishing, stingray and snorkeling trips.
Captain Cam says, “do what you love; you’ll never work a day in your life” Captain Cam loves what he does.
“I try hard to show my guest a good time. I am very knowledgeable about the island. I guide my guest on where to go and where not to go. I keep my guest entertained. when the fishing is slow, I will try every technique I know to get something over the rail.
What sets Captain Cam apart is his dedication to ensuring a good time for his guests. Even when the fishing is slow, he employs every technique in his arsenal to make sure you bring in a memorable catch. His big smile and infectious enthusiasm make the trip even more enjoyable.

We caught some delicious fish, including a wahoo large enough to feed eight people twice. Came ready for a variety of fishing techniques (trolling, drift fishing, live bait) and was willing to adjust techniques during a half day charter. Cam and his brother Clayton were both great with young anglers. Based upon the positive experience, we arranged a snorkel trip later in our stay. Cam provided a very interactive guided snorkeling trip during which he fed a moray eel for us to see. He got into the water with us and acted as ‘dive’ master and guide, rather than merely anchoring at snorkel sites and sitting on the boat. Captured a lobster and a queen conch for my children to hold and learn about. Taught the children how to hold and release the lobster. Cam works hard and shares his love for the ocean with others. Highly recommended.
We had the best time with Cam, he is very informative about everything from fishing to stingrays. He was very accommodating with times and anything you want to see or do.
Our snorkeling trip was amazing! Cam and Joey were extremely knowledgable and went above and beyond to insure we had a great trip. From kissing the stingrays and feeding the eel, to chicken wings on starfish point it was a great day. Wrapping the day up with Cam’s marinated conch was an added treat. Cam swan down and got a conch brought it back and prepared it fresh on the boat.
If Cam wants to branch out beyond the charter business he should open a restaurant! We would highly recommend Cam!
Thanks Beth! Your group was a pleasure! We hope to see you again!
We had a great day on the water with Captain Cam! At stingray city, he expertly nestled his boat right up to the spot where all the stingrays were located, and was very knowledgeable about the stingray, allowing us a hands-on and very up close experience. At our second stop, we snorkeled close to the barrier reef and had beautiful encounter with a large green Moray eel that Captain Cam knew exactly where he was located. Our final stop was at starfish point where we had a great photo op with the starfish and fresh Conch ceviche that Captain Cam made boatside! Overall it was an amazing experience with great memories! We will only book with Captain Cam the next time we come back to Grand Cayman!
Thanks Greg. We very much enjoyed hosting your group! I hope to see you soon!
